HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my little blog, Science Book a Day!
I started this blog back in 2013 with the aim of promoting a science book each day, with the aim of trying to engage people in science books. I feel that we celebrate great fiction, crime novels, thrillers etc., but I don’t think we celebrate science books enough. Having worked for many years in bookshops, I know that they often only fill a shelf at your regular bookshop – so I sought to change that. In the last two years I’ve featured 730 books, interviewed nearly 250 authors and gotten some great reviewers to give their own opinions on some of the science books on SBAD. I’ve also had tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world who love science books.
Plans for Year 3 are big and you may notice some changes. You may have noticed that advertisements have been removed from the blog and I hope to get some sponsorship from science related websites and publishers – so please let anyone know who you think might be interested. I also hope to feature discounts, giveaways and promotions from authors and publishers about their new books.
So please, keep coming back to Science Book a Day, keep reading science books, keep liking them and the authors we feature everyday.
