Science Book a Day Updates

Hi guys,

You might note some changes over the next few months. I am experimenting with Amazon Affiliates program where if you purchase a book from the links at the bottom of the books, I will get a proportion of any sales.

Why would I do this?

Basically, updating the blog takes a reasonable amount of time (at least 250 hours a year), and I would like to do things with the blog that would benefit from having some money to experiment with (e.g. paying for the blog itself, paying guest authors and reviewers for their time, advertising to let more people know about the website, starting a foundation that donates science books to schools). I also have clickable links, so I’m going to have a ‘click-off’ where we can see which of these strategies works better over the next 6 months.

Also, a BIG reason, is that there will be the patter of little feet around the house by the end of January – which is very exciting.

Honestly, I’m not a fan of lots of advertising on a website, so I’m going to see which of these strategies is better and go with that one.
