Aliette de Bodard wins the BSFA Award

Congratulations to Aliette de Bodard for winning the British Science Fiction Association Award for Best Novel, for The House of Shattered Wings, and for Best Short Story for Three Cups of Grief.

I recently featured the nominees where you can read the blurb to her book. Unfortunately I can’t feature her book on the blog, as I try to feature science fiction that leans towards hard science fiction or more philosophical questions. I have to leave out her title as it features magic which I feel goes beyond the mandate of a blog devoted to science books, but I feel that the winner of the BSFA awards needs to be announced as it is an important award in the field of science fiction writing.

Find out more about the book and the author via The Guardian.
